Pillivuyt

For over 200 years, Pillivuyt has created classic French porcelain of outstanding quality for the kitchen and table. Today, Pillivuyt is one of the oldest and most recognised manufacturers of porcelain in the world.

Pillivuyt, Mehun-sur-Yevre, France. Founded in 1818. Today, Pillivuyt is a modern factory in the heart of France where many details are still made by hand and the craftsmanship is passed down from generation to generation. Here, Pillivuyt produces the unique porcelain mass which is fired at extremely high temperatures of up to 1400°C. The result is extremely strong porcelain that is extra durable and with a quality that can be felt.

All porcelain is ovenproof and therefore suitable for both oven and microwave – even directly from freezer to oven (-30°C to +350°C).

The glaze is acid-resistant so that the colour does not change and it is completely nonporous – which makes it very hygienic and easy to clean.

For many years, Pillivuyt has made efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. These efforts include recycling of waste products from raw materials and recycling water, plastics, paper and cardboard. Insulation of ovens and use of the heat of the furnaces for heating. A different initiative is the recycling of hard porcelain waste in road surfaces.

Pillivuyt’s range is constantly being developed, and many series and individual products have long since become classics. A wide product range, optimum performance and the distinctive white colour make Pillivuyt ideal both for food preparation and serving – for everyday as well as on special occasions.
